Meetings and Events

Model boating is the general theme but the focus at HOT-MBC meetings and events is on having a positive FUN, learning experience, building friendships and learning from one another. Our goal is to promote the R/C Model Boating Hobby and improve our modeling & driving skills through friendly competition.

When We Meet

Official Club (business) meetings and races take place the first Saturday of each month between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. In addition, there is usually an unofficial meeting (workday) two weeks later (mid-month), where we get together to build, run boats, evaluate boat setups and have informal practice races.

What You Can Expect

Our meetings usually include the following activities:
• Sharing & comparing models
• Kit & Scratch building tips and secrets.
• Boat Set-up & Evaluation Test Runs
• Scale Boat demonstration runs (Bring your boat & show off your handiwork!)
• Fast Electric Heat RACING!….
• Discussions about Radios and Electronics
• Racing and Event Videos.
